The Olympus Corvette is a relative old ship which has been in service since the Dilgar War. It is cheap to build and to maintain and was therefore widely used within the Earth Alliance. The main task of these ships is to protect bigger cruiser like the Hyperion Cruiser or other capital warships. Most of these vessels were destroyed during the Earth-Minbari war and the Battle of the Line but massproduction restarted soon after the war was over. Today the third generation of the Olympus Corvette is in service and is used for patrol and rescue operations.
